Our Cornerstone Events

Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner is the largest event of the fall semester where over 100 students join us for a career fair and networking dinner. Our members are invited to attend an exclusive career fair where they have the opportunity to chat with representatives from over 20 of our corporate sponsors. This is a great opportunity to learn more about internships and full-time positions at a variety of industries, including banking, consulting, tech, real estate, and retail. The corporate representatives will then join our attendees for a three-course meal and keynote speech delivered by a prominent woman leader in business. Any student at the University of Pennsylvania is invited to attend!

Voices of Diversity Conference

The Voices of Diversity Conference and Pitch Competition is our newest Cornerstone Event. This event, guided by an annual theme, is for the greater Penn community to have important conversations about intersectionality and entrepreneurship as women and underrepresented gender identities. In the past, this conference has included a start-up pitch competition judged by a panel of MBA judges, networking sessions with local entrepreneurs and workshops with Wharton Affinity Group leaders. This conference also highlights a keynote speaker with expertise in corporate social responsibility and other diversity, equity, and inclusion issues – the speaker at our inaugural VOD Conference was Sandya Magge, the Vice President of Equity, Inclusion, and Corporate Social Responsibility at Visa. Lunch is also provided with admission to this event, catered by a local minority-owned restaurant.
