Investments
The Investments Committee is responsible for learning and discussing the fundamentals of finance and stock pitches with the intention of providing a close knit women-in-finance affinity group in the Wharton Women community. Members will learn about the basics of a stock pitch, recruiting, and finance industry, and compete in an internal stock pitch competition in close knit team with team mentorship.
2025 Committee
Ada Wang
Ada Wang (Class of 2027) is from Houston, TX and is concentrating in Finance and Marketing. In her freshman year she joined Wharton Women as part of the Annual Dinner Committee, before focusing on engagement as the 2024 VP of Membership Development. This year, she hopes to empower all Wharton Women members as the VP of Finance and leading the Finance and Investments Committee. You can find Ada bouldering in Pottruck’s rock climbing wall, baking/cooking (and/or) eating at Philly’s restaurants, working as project lead in Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club, or playing board games with friends. Melody Cao
Melody Cao (Class of 2029) is from Toronto, Canada and plans to concentrate in Finance and Business Analytics and minor in Cinema and Media Studies. She is a part of Wharton Women’s Investments Committee. At Penn, Melody is involved with PennSEM, 34th St, SPEC Film, and SPEC Jazz and Grooves. In her free time, she enjoys skateboarding, bouldering, going to the gym, watching movies, and going to concerts.
Maggie Chang
Maggie Chang (Class of 2029) is from Yangon, Myanmar and plans to concentrate in Finance in Wharton with a minor in Computer Science. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman Fall on the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, she is involved in JWS, PennREACH and Penn Women in Consulting. In her free time, she loves watching K-dramas, café/restaurant hopping with friends, drawing/painting, listening to podcasts, and playing badminton!
Saahira Dayal
Saahira Dayal (Class of 2029) is from the Bay Area, CA and plans to concentrate in Finance and AI with a minor in CS. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman fall on the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Saahira is involved in WUFFA and Girls into VC. In her free time, she loves finding new study spots with her friends on campus, trying new restaurants, carspotting, watching movies, sculpting, or fencing.
Maggie Gu
Maggie Gu (Class of 2028) is from Bay Area, CA and is pursuing a dual degree in Sociology and concentrations in Finance and Marketing. She joined Wharton Women her Sophomore Fall on the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Maggie is involved with SCUE, MUSE, SIC, CFA, WAX, and UES. In her free time, you can catch her crocheting, handcrafting matchas, cafe-hopping, adding to her Beli, browsing Trader Joe’s aimlessly, junk journaling, and taking pictures on her mini iPhone 5.
Shaomin Kee
Shaomin Kee (Class of 2028) is from Suwanee, GA and plans to pursue a double concentration in Finance and Business Analytics. She joined Wharton Women her Sophomore Fall on the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Shaomin is involved in GRC, PSC, PCV, The Wharton Impact and Sustainability Consulting (WISC) Program, Penn Abroad Ambassadors, Class Board as Creative Director, and aKDPhi. In her free time, you can find Shaomin doodling on her iPad, cafe hopping, or fiending over Ghibli movies.
Stella Kyaw
Stella Kyaw (Class of 2028) is from Yangon, Myanmar and plans to pursue a double concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship. She joined Wharton Women her Sophomore Fall on the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Stella is involved in MUSE Generalist Consulting, REACH, Wharton STEP, WAX, and SFCU. In her free time, you can find her exploring Philly’s food scene, binge-watching her k-dramas, or yapping loudly on Locust.
Molly Lee
Molly Lee (Class of 2029) is from Seoul, South Korea and plans to concentrate in Finance at Wharton. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman Fall as a part of the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Molly is involved in PennSori, an A cappella group on campus. In her free time, you can catch Molly trying new restaurants in center city, watching K-dramas, and taking random walks with her friends.
Prinda Li
Prinda Li (Class of 2029) is from Hong Kong and plans to pursue Artificial Intelligence in SEAS. She joined Wharton Women in Freshman Fall as a part of the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, she is involved in WUFC and WAX. In her free time, you can find her exploring restaurants (especially chinese!), playing tennis, doing photography, and hanging out with friends!
Yuyi Liu
Yuyi Liu (Class of 2028) is from Princeton, NJ and Shenzhen, China, with plans to concentrate in Marketing & Operations Management. She joined Wharton Women her Sophomore Fall on the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Yuyi’s involved in Wharton Retail Club, Wharton STEP, Penn Common Cents, and Penn Jazz. Annie Meng
Annie Meng (Class of 2028) is from Charlottesville, VA and plans to double major in Economics and Mathematics. She joined Wharton Women her Sophomore Fall on the Investments Committee. Phoebe Pham
Phoebe Pham (Class of 2028) is from Dallas, TX and is pursuing concentrations in Finance and Legal Studies & Business Ethics. She joined Wharton Women in Freshman Spring as part of the Catalyst program and is excited to pursue her interest in finance this semester through WW’s Investments Committee. Annabel Shic (Class of 2028) is from the Bay Area, CA planning on majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman year on the Pro-Bono Consulting Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Annabel enjoys running, eating sweet potatoes, and hanging out with friends. Mischa Wijesekera
Mischa Wijesekera (Class of 2029) is from Houston, TX and plans to concentrate in Finance and Entrepreneurship & Innovation and minor in Philosophy. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman Fall on the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Mischa is involved with Wharton Investment & Trading Group, Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club, Global Research and Consulting, The Daily Pennsylvanian, and the Penn Ski & Snowboard Team. Yina Yao
Yina Yao (Class of 2029) is from Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Pennsylvania. She plans to pursue Material Science Engineering at Penn. She joined Wharton Women investment committee her freshman fall. Outside Of Wharton Women, Yina is involved with MUSE consulting, WUFC and DJ@Penn. In her free time, Yina enjoys playing squash, baking, making crafts and glass fusion.
Sonia Yin
Sonia Yin (Class of 2028) is from Ningbo, China, and Sydney, Australia. She plans to pursue Mathematical Economics and Computer Science at Penn. She joined the Wharton Women investment committee her sophomore fall. Outside of Wharton Women, Sonia is involved with Wharton Asia Investment, Penn Climate Ventures, and WUFC. In her free time, she enjoys pilates, tennis, exploring new restaurants in Center City and Chinatown, listening to K-pop, and photography.
Victoria Yin
Victoria Yin (Class of 2028) is from Beijing, China, and originally from Atlanta, GA. She plans to pursue a concentration of Finance at Wharton. She joined Wharton Women Investment Committee her sophomore fall. Outside of Wharton Women, Victoria is involved in WITG and WUFC, and is planning on joining a cappella groups in the future. In her free time, she enjoys music (rnb and house), art (oil and digital), cooking, gym, basketball, and getting good food when walking the city.
Elizabeth Yuan
Elizabeth Yuan (Class of 2028) is a sophomore from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Philosophy, Politics & Economics. She joined Wharton Women Investments Committee in her sophomore fall. Angelina Yu
Angelina Yu (Class of 2028) is from New York City and plans to concentrate in finance at Wharton. She joined WW her Sophomore Fall as part of the Investments Committee. Katie Yu (Class of 2028) is from Bellevue, Washington. She is a sophomore in the M&T program, majoring in Bioengineering and plans to concentrate in Finance at Wharton. She joined Wharton Women Investments Committee her freshman spring. Outside of Wharton Women, Katie is involved in PUBS Consulting, WUHC, Wharton Fund for Health, Scholars of Finance, and research in mRNA vaccines.
