2022 Freshman Buddies Mixer

The Internal Events committee plans events and engaging bonding activities for the Wharton Women community. It cultivates a stronger community within Wharton Women through peer mentoring and new initiatives, like the Freshman Buddies program, the annual mentorship program that pairs freshmen and transfer students with upperclassmen mentors and friends. The committee also hosts Wellness Week, Friendsgiving, study breaks, and Membership March events.

 

2024 Committee

Ada Wang

Ada Wang (Class of 2027) is from Houston, TX and is concentrating in Management. In her freshman fall she joined Wharton Women as part of the Annual Dinner Committee, and she is excited to introduce new ideas whilst keeping tradition as the 2024 VP of Membership Development. This year, she hopes to foster a stronger community amongst the entirety of Wharton Women by bringing together members from across committees and grades. You can find Ada bouldering in Pottruck’s rock climbing wall, working as project lead in Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club, attending Penn’s various events from acapella shows to Penn Baking Club, or playing board games with friends. Abigail So

Abigail (Class of 2024) is from South Barrington, Illinois and majors in Psychology with a minor in Consumer Psychology. She joined Wharton Women during Spring 2023 to encourage community building among future business leaders from Penn. Outside of Wharton Women, she is involved in her Sigma Kappa Sorority, Scholars of Finance, Penn Venture Group, and other organizations on campus. In her free time, she enjoys long runs in the city, exploring new restaurants, watching movies, and baking with her friends.

Karen He

Karen (Class of 2025) is from San Francisco, California and plans to concentrate in Finance and Management. She first joined Wharton Women as a part of the Dressing for Success team and can’t wait to be more involved as the Programming chair for the Freshmen Buddy Program. She is also a part of WAX, WMC, PennApps, and some other hobby clubs like Shotokan Karate Club. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and explore new places around philly. Isha Reddy

Isha Reddy (Class of 2025) is from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and plans to concentrate in Business Analytics and Finance at Wharton, with a minor in Computer Science. She joined Wharton Women in the fall of her sophomore year, and is extremely excited to be part of this amazing community, working towards creating an inclusive and enjoyable environment for all women at Penn! Outside of Wharton Women, she is the VP of Marketing for the Wharton Undergraduate Data Analytics Club (WUDAC), an AC at Consult for America, and she also works for Penn University Life and Penn Wharton Budget Model. Caroline Begg

Caroline (Class of 2026) is from Trumbull, Connecticut, and is a student in the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology (M&T); she plans to concentrate in Finance and Business Analytics in Wharton and Computer and Information Science (CIS) in SEAS. In addition to Wharton Women Internal Events Committee, Caroline is also involved on campus as an associate consultant for Engineering Consultants at Penn, a web tech analyst for The Walk Magazine, and a member of the social committee for Penn Fashion Collective. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, working out, and exploring the city of Philadelphia!

Kelly Hu

Kelly Hu (Class of 2026) is from outside of Dallas, TX, and is planning to concentrate in Finance and Business Analytics, with a minor in Computer Science. She joined Wharton Women last spring and can’t wait to get more involved in the community through Internal Events! In addition to Wharton Women, Kelly is also a part of Phi Chi Theta Business Fraternity, MUSE Consulting, and Wharton Asia Investments. Elena Paz

Elena (Class of 2026) is from San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and is a student in the College studying Economics. Besides her role in Wharton Women Internal Events Committee, Elena is also involved in the Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club and the Penn Blockchain Club, both of which she serves in the events committee. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Rittenhouse and having weekends in New York City!

Riya Mitra

Riya Mitra (Class of 2026) is from Nashville, Tennessee and is a student in the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology (M&T); she concentrates in Finance and Marketing in Wharton and Bioengineering in SEAS. She joined Wharton Women her freshman spring as a part of the Internal Events Committee and is excited to build a strong community with membership events and wellness weeks. She hopes to connect members with the diverse women across Penn and create avenues for learning and growth. In addition to her role in Wharton Women, Riya is a part of REACH Marketing & Consulting, the Sponsorships Committee for the PennApps Hackathon, and Scholars of Finance. Riya also enjoys baking, styling outfits, trying new foods, and Formula 1. Navya Sampathkumar

Navya Sampathkumar (Class of 2026) is a sophomore from Dallas, Texas and plans on co-concentrating in Finance and Legal Studies at the Wharton School. She has been a part of Wharton Women since the fall of her freshman year and can’t wait to contribute more to this wonderful community as an Internal Events committee member. Outside of Wharton Women, Navya is involved in the Wharton Business and Law Association, Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club, and PEVC. She also is an undergraduate research assistant who is pursuing research in ESG and corporate ethics within the Legal Studies department. Cassidy Casabona

Cassidy Casabona (Class of 2026) is from Long Island, NY and is concentrating in Finance and Marketing. She joined Wharton Women her freshman spring on the Internal Events Committee and can’t wait to continue strengthening the WW community this year. In addition to WW, Cassidy is a member of Phi Chi Theta Business Fraternity, MUSE, Wharton Cohorts, Penn Traditions, and Sigma Delta Tau Sorority. Amaal Abdi

Amaal Abdi (Class of 2025) is from Atlanta, GA and plans to concentrate in Finance. Lindsay Yakaboski

Lindsay Yakaboski (Class of 2027) is from Long Island, NY and is planning to concentrate in Business Economics & Public Policy. She joined Wharton Women this spring and is excited to plan events that create meaningful connections between WW members. Outside of Wharton Women, Lindsay is a member of the Track & Field team, Wharton Undergrad Sports Business Club, and Chi Omega Sorority. Emily Wilson

Emily Wilson (Class of 2027) is from Cleveland, OH and is pursuing studies in Finance, Business Analytics, and Mathematics. She joined Wharton Women last fall, and she looks forward to helping Internal Events cultivate a strong, cohesive community. Through planning engaging events and mentorship initiatives, Emily is excited to meet and bring together people across all of Wharton Women’s committees. In addition to Wharton Women, Emily is a member of PAACH’s PEER Mentorship Program, alpha Kappa Delta Phi Asian-interest sorority, and Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club.
